Cloud Data Platform Engineer | Shape the Future of Scalable Azure Infrastructure
Are you a hands-on, forward-thinking engineer ready to elevate modern data platforms in a fast-paced DevOps environment? Join a high-performing team responsible for designing, building, and optimizing a robust cloud-based data ecosystem powered by Microsoft Azure.
In this role, you will design and maintain scalable solutions using Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric. You’ll play a vital role in streamlining data ingestion, automation, and integration across diverse systems, while continuously enhancing performance, reliability, and observability across the platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable cloud data solutions using Microsoft Azure services
- Manage containerized workloads using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for rapid development, testing, and delivery
- Develop efficient data processing pipelines using Python, Java, or similar technologies
- Implement RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party systems
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform or Bicep (IaC)
- Enhance system monitoring, logging, and alerting for fault-tolerant architectures
- Write and maintain high-quality unit and integration tests
- Debug and resolve issues throughout the application lifecycle
- Proactively identify areas for optimization and innovation within the platform
- Collaborate on design sessions, code reviews, and peer knowledge-sharing initiatives
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent practical experience) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
- At least 7 years of experience working with Microsoft Azure data stack—specifically AKS, Data Factory, Data Lake, Databricks
- Deep understanding of CI/CD principles and tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
- Strong development skills in Python, Java, and SQL—writing maintainable, production-grade code
- Expertise in Databricks: Delta Lake, structured streaming, performance tuning
- Skilled in provisioning infrastructure using IaC frameworks (Terraform, Bicep)
- Experience working with RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems
- Familiarity with big data tools and frameworks like Spark, Kafka, Hadoop
- Strong analytical mindset with a passion for clean, scalable architecture
- Effective communicator, team player, and agile contributor
- Fluent in English—Dutch is not required
