Senior QA Engineer – Python & Databricks
Location: Utrecht
Hours: 40 per week
Start: As soon as possible
Duration: Until November 2026
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to help build a robust, scalable, and maintainable test automation framework. You will work closely with QA engineers across multiple squads and take ownership of setting up the test framework for a new risk detection solution.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a test automation framework from scratch using Python and Databricks
- Develop a data-driven testing strategy tailored to business rule models
- Create reusable components for maintainability and scalability
- Mentor and guide QA engineers within the team
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Python for test automation
- Experience with Databricks in a testing context
- Proven ability to build test frameworks from the ground up
- Solid understanding of functional testing principles and business rule validation
- Knowledge of modular and reusable test design
- Experience in coaching or mentoring QA professionals
- Fluent in English
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with financial crime detection or risk-based systems
- Experience working in agile, multi-squad environments
