The Senior Software Engineer focuses on defining, designing and / or realizing ICT solutions, within the set frameworks.
You provide Solution Architect with input for the new solutions. You also monitor that the good development principles are followed in daily practice.
With the help of your analytical thinking skills, you think along in professionalizing the work and automating it. You also guide less experienced colleagues in their work.
You are a proactive team player who works closely with other disciplines in the DevOps team. You therefore have a natural drive to delve into the adjacent disciplines (T-shape). Collaborating with the Business Analysts in the team is naturally for you and, where necessary, you also take care of part of the (data) analysis and the prototype creation. With your experience you also pitch in the problem areas of the team e.g. helping the testers in creating a test strategy.
You have good communication skills. You know how to put forward your own opinion by means of convincing and appealing arguments, whereby your attitude and tone match the other. This ensures broad support.
You are also result driven; you work towards a good (enough) result in one go. You regularly coordinate your activities and priorities with stakeholders within and outside the team. In addition, your focus is on initiating improvement. You are self-aware, you know your unique qualities and know how to use them as effectively.

• Based in the Netherlands
• Minimum completed relevant HBO or WO training;
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in a comparable position in a complex ICT environment;
• Expert knowledge and experience with Azure Data Factory and knowledge of Synapse is an advantage;
• Expert knowledge with at least 3 years of experience with Azure Databricks;
• Expert knowledge of databases like SQL DB and Oracle with ability to develop stored procedures;
• Knowledge of various Azure components and should be able to design new solution on Azure;
• Knowledge of Python is must and PowerShell is an advantage;
• Experience with drawing up specifications for ETL processes is an advantage
• Experience with Architecture issues is an advantage;
• Knowledge and experience with DevOps, Scrum, ITIL;
• Experience in Testing and automation is an advantage;
• Experience and Knowledge of migration to Azure Cloud, Power BI is nice to have;
• Knowledge of Pipeline (CI/CD) and Azure Devops tooling including drafting and management;
• Knowledge of EDL. Experience with setting up Information Factories incl. setting up data pipelines;
• Knowledge of Azure Delta lake is an advantage.
